We opened our original restaurant, the North End location, back in 1973, in what was little more than a shoebox storefront on Hanover Street. This spot is the heart of our family’s history and the place where we first popularized calamari and our iconic squid-ink black pasta. When you visit, you’re experiencing dining the Sicilian way—it’s always busy, loud, and incredibly intimate, with an atmosphere that hasn’t changed in decades. Since the space is so small, we maintain the unique tradition of serving all the pasta dishes, like our famous Lobster Fra Diavolo, directly in the frying pan they were cooked in. This is strictly a walk-in only establishment, and while you might have to wait in a line that stretches down the street, we promise the intensely flavorful, authentic Italian-American seafood experience inside is always worth it.
